I will make my magazine appeal to students interested in photography by having a large medium close-up shot of a student, the photo will be edited to show different photographic skills, I will make the photo as clear as possible so people who notice it will understand what it's about. As the masthead will be bold, and clear spelling out 'Aperture' underneath the masthead will be a tag-line stating 'how much will you let in' this will attract a lot of students as it's not straight to the point and can be read differently. The bar code will be directly below the tag-line to the right of the cover. along with the date and price. As I've previously said my target audience will be C1/B on the Jicnars scale. I will most likely price my magazine at £3-£4 as I believe the students reading it can afford that without worrying about money. All of my text on the cover of the magazine Will be Black and White, block colours, or reversed out cover-lines which shows creativity and gives the cover an artistic twang which is clearly what photography is about. I will also have at the bottom of the Cover I will have a puff promoting a competition to win a state of the art camera and a trip to L.A (not that they can't afford it anyway) most of the text will be layout to the left hand side to the cover, I will also use sophisticated language to make the posh students feel at home, however I will use more simple language to make the C1 students not feel out of place.
The model will have a serious but intrigued look on his face, the shot will be concentrated on his face trying to capture as much detail as possible. The photo will be in a dynamic black and white shot and will taken outside, which aims to give a subliminal message that the world is at your feet so go and explore it.
